In this Thanksgiving turkey demo class, learn some tips to put the best turkey on your table this year. We will demonstrate spatchcocking a raw bird, talk through different brining styles, and demonstrate how to carve a spatchcocked bird. We’ll also walk through stock making and building a great gravy.
Participants will get to sample some roasted turkey and sides, accompanied by a wine pairing selected by Anfora Wine Merchants in Oak Park.
We'll be using turkeys from Timberfeast Farm in this class, a small farm a couple hours south of Chicago. They raise turkeys seasonally, on pasture, and you can pre-order one for pick up in Chicago! Check out their site to place your order:
