Private Workshops

Get some one-on-one time with the CMC! In addition to our public workshops and events, we can customize a private workshop for your group that allows you to hone in on the things you want to learn most. Planning a birthday party, bachelor/ette party, holiday party, staff party, or corporate team building event? Private workshops can be tailored to the occasion, from intimate, hands-on butchery experiences to sausage making for a big group, we offer something for everyone.

Sessions can take place in your own home if you have the space, or in one of two venues that we rent. Rented venues come with an added cost of $200-250 per half day.

Whole Hog Butchery

Up to 6 people

3-4 hours

Starts at: $950

What you get:

Half a hog from a local farm. Hands-on instruction, ~20 pounds cuts to take home per person, guide to cuts with cooking suggestions, snacks and drinks. ~3-4 hrs.

Sausage Making

Up to 6 people

What you get:

Hands-on instruction, ~2 pounds hand-made sausage/person, resources to make sausage at home, snacks and drinks. ~2-3 hrs.

Basic Chicken Butchery

Up to 6 people

2-3 hours

Starts at: $400 + $18 per whole, locally raised chicken

What you get:

Hands-on instruction, 1 whole locally raised chicken per person, cut by you! Demonstration of stock making and a pint of homemade stock, cooking suggestions, snacks and drinks. ~2-3 hrs.
